We are all individuals. We cannot be put into boxes, where one size fits all. Integrative therapy allows the therapist and client to work in the way that is most appropriate to them. The relationship is front and centre of the work; the relationship is the microcosm from which all discovery is made.
When I chose to become a therapist, I couldn't have told you why. It was like making a discovery about myself that I just didn't need to question. I've since come to realise that I am fascinated by people, by their relationships, and their motivations. I have always felt like I wanted to do good in the world, as cliche as that sounds. Being a therapist allows me the privilege of experiencing many lives. I am so grateful to every client for what they share of themselves with me.
The Highlands of Scotland - the scale of the place! It makes me feel grounded to be somewhere so immense and beautiful.
I ask clients to bring as much of themselves to a session as they feel they can. We work together to peel back the layers of experience and emotion, gently, and in a way that allows the client to make discoveries for themselves.
The therapy session is a place of safety, where the client can explore every version of themselves, learn to trust their internal experience, and accept themselves for who they are.
